# Belote Pro

> Belote Pro (belotepro.com) is a free, browser-based online multiplayer Belote — the classic French 4-player (2-versus-2) trick-taking card game — playable instantly as a guest with no sign-up, against real people or a strong card-counting bot. It also supports the Coinche variant. Coins add optional stakes but are purely social (never cashable, tradable or withdrawable, and never required to play). A "rules studio" for creating and publishing your own Belote variants is coming soon.

Belote Pro is built by lifelong Belote players who wanted the real French game done right. What sets it apart:

- **The bot never sees your hand.** The opponent AI receives only the public table state — the cards on the table and what has already been played — and infers the hidden cards with Perfect-Information Monte Carlo simulation. It counts cards; it does not read yours. Strong, but fair.
- **A dropped connection doesn't break the game.** Your seat is held on the server and your score is safe; the hand keeps moving so nobody waits on a spinner, and you rejoin the live game the moment you reconnect. No 60-second freeze, no "player left" that voids the pot.
- **The real classic French rules**, enforced by a tested server-side rules engine — the game is the referee, so no client can bend a score.
- **Free forever, instant play.** "Continue as guest" and you're dealt in within seconds, right in the browser; link a Google or Facebook account to save progress across devices. Installable as a PWA.
- **Coins are social only** — purchase-only, non-cashable, and never needed to keep playing. It's card-game rivalry, not a casino.
